The old Road Atlanta track was the best runoffs venue ever and the Bridge turn always separated the men from the boys. I can still remember the feeling of coming up out of the dip at the end of the back straight and seeing the sky framed by the bridge.
I was very lucky to have been a racer in those years.

I was Lucky to have a Dad that was active in the Atlanta region SCCA. He worked the BP Gas pumps at alot of the big races back then and I got to witness some cool stuff. Reeves really got screwed that year, finished 2nd but got DQed for unleaded fuel.
When i came back racing in 2000 i was really disapointed in the 10a/10b redesign smirk
But i agree, Road Atlanta was the coolest track ever before the redesign. Now I have 4 or 5 coolest tracks ever !!!

Daytona was really Cool, when I ran the chicane was just for the motorcycles !!!
