I just have to chuckle at the many attempts to "revive a dead forum" or for that matter breathe life into a dying "Vintage Racing".

It is, as it always has been, what it is. It evolves and never, ever has followed a predictable path.

Schemes to energize or prop up a favorite niche, are simply a fools journey.

To employ cliche, when herding cats, one must remember that cats come in different colors and personalities, and they shit in many places, not often in their designated "litter box".

Jack,

Like so many things, your last post has gone straight over my head.

But, in an attempt to "prop up a favorite niche" I've uncovered three sidelined SCCA Spridgets that would make great vintage cars if the door was opened for them. I bought one and it will appear at the VSCDA Road America event to be driven by someone under 30. So you see, it's possible both to accommodate these veteran SCCA cars and to encourage a younger generation of drivers to enjoy them.

VSCDA has a very active Spridget group and if anyone out there driving a Spridget in any level of prep including slicks and coil overs, is still paying attention to this forum, consider coming out to this event. It may be a last hurrah, but it could be a good one.

I guess my meager attempts at humor need to come with instructions...or a bottle of rum.

As you certainly know, those Sprites and such have always been welcome since I started my tenure at HSR 5 years ago and we have a nice little class of them.

The comment about "a fools journey" is simply a misguided bit of wit, not intended for those who might have a sensitive skin.

I certainly didn't have you in mind.

You are to be commended for your efforts regarding YOUR favorite NICHE!

Cheers,
